"May music inspire all to build a world of love.  I thank those who combine music and prayer in harmonious praise of God and His works: they help us glorify the Creator and Redeemer of the world, which is the marvelous work of His hands."    (Pope Benedict XVI at a concert in honor of his 80th birthday)

A Note from Annie

About her CD, Perfect Sacrifice

Praise be the Lord Jesus Christ, both now and forever! The CD, Perfect Sacrifice, is finished. Some of the songs I wanted to give a little background to: The first one, "Come Home" (to the Father) was written because of a common plea from people across the country, asking for prayer for their loved ones who are no longer practicing their Catholic faith. It is based on the return of the prodigal son... with emphasis on the merciful love of the Father!

Talented musicians from New York City traveled to the home of my producer, Barry Hartglass, in Carmel NY. Cello, violin, mandolin, flute, percussion and harmonica added their unique beauty to different songs. I thank God for their incredible talents! The back-up vocals provided by Victoria Faiella, Tom Nazziola, and Donna Cori-Gibson made the project complete. There is a lovely duet with Donna to the song, "How Beautiful." "Stay With Us Lord" was written from the inspiration of John Paul II's letter on the Eucharist, as well as the scripture from Luke with the apostles on the road to Emmaus.

"Breathe", written by Marie Barnett, is a favorite as I return from a small tour out West. "Perfect Sacrifice", the title song, was written as a tribute to the holy sacrifice of the Mass. But also from my spiritual director's question to me, "whom are you bringing with you to receive the infinite merits of the Mass?" There were a few priests recently at a conference in Salt Lake City who were quite taken with this song.

I included favorites, Schubert's "Ave Maria" and the classic, well-loved hymn, "O Lord I Am Not Worthy." The CD was meant to be contemplative in nature, hopefully "Rekindling a Eucharistic Amazement" (John Paul II, encyclical on the Eucharist) in the hearts of its listeners. All glory and praise to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit! The fire of His love continues to burn within me. There are not enough notes in the scale, or words of praise to thank Him!
