Sister, Servant, Soldier

Last night, Monday, Oct. 5th, on "Vigilant Heart" Radio Maria, I interviewed Sr. Deidre Byrnes of the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts, based in Washington D.C. What can one say about a life as rich and full, as Sr. Deidre's? Sr. is a medical doctor, served as a Colonel in the Army, is a medical missionary doctor, and a woman religious.
She credits all to her love for Jesus in the Eucharist, and her parents for inspiring her to serve. Sr. talked about how she received the call from the White House to speak at the Republican Convention as she was praying in the Chapel asking God to use her to continue to help save the unborn. Sr. works with a team to help reverse the tragic affects of the abortion pill. They are able to save  the child if the woman is reaches out in time, and takes the medication they supply. I thank Sr. Deidre for her incredible life and withness to us all.
